I am an Accredited Specialist Family Lawyer, recognised by Resolution – first for family law, with particular emphasis on Financial Provision and Children Law. Resolution is a respected national organisation committed to upholding the highest standards in family law, and its Specialist Accreditation Scheme is reserved for experienced practitioners with a proven track record in complex family matters.
I joined Thomson & Bancks in 1989 and began my formal Legal Executive training in 1992. I became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 1998 and have since built extensive experience across all areas of Family Law, including divorce, separation, financial settlements, and private children matters such as child arrangements.
In March 2026, I gained additional CILEX Family Law Practice Rights, enabling me to conduct family law litigation and represent clients in matters involving formal court proceedings. While I am fully qualified to undertake litigation work, I always aim to explore constructive and less confrontational ways of resolving disputes wherever possible, as I believe court proceedings should be a last resort.
I understand that family disputes can be emotionally difficult and deeply personal. I take pride in providing a supportive, approachable, and understanding service, helping clients feel reassured and informed throughout the process. My aim is not only to provide clear and practical legal advice, but also to guide clients through difficult times with compassion, honesty, and sensitivity. From the outset, I work closely with each client to identify the most appropriate and effective way forward for their individual circumstances.
If you are experiencing a relationship breakdown or facing family-related legal issues, I am here to help you move forward with confidence and support.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time outdoors and making the most of the countryside and lots of walking.
