Thomson and Bancks Solicitors is proud to continue its long tradition of supporting the Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury – a partnership that has grown in warmth and spirit over more than four decades.
This year, our team once again had the pleasure of returning as costume sponsors for the festive pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk, joining the theatre for its script readthrough, dress rehearsal and VIP performance night.
From joining the cast and crew at the script readthrough to experiencing the excitement of the dress rehearsal and VIP performance night, each visit gave us a deeper appreciation of the joy, creativity and sheer hard work that bring the panto to life.
Watching the cast step into their costumes – knowing we played a small part in helping them shine – was a moment of genuine pride for everyone involved.
A tradition of helping the local theatre community
Our connection with the Roses Theatre is a tradition we hold close to our hearts. Beginning with our first sponsorship of Aladdin in 2019, we have had the privilege of supporting King Arthur in 2021, Snow White in 2022, Beauty and the Beast in 2023, and taking on costume and primary sponsorship for Cinderella in 2024.
Supporting the Roses each year isn’t just about sponsorship; it’s about championing the magic of live theatre and helping keep the arts thriving in our community.
Thomson & Bancks Managing Partner Paul Johnson said of the continued sponsorship:

We know that the wellbeing of the community in Tewkesbury would be impoverished if it were not for the vibrant arts hub that is the Roses. Tewkesbury punches above its weight in terms of history, arts and culture and the Roses Theatre is a vital part of that.
“Our families and friends have many personal traditions wrapped up in their own experiences of taking their children and grandchildren to the panto over many years. Panto can be the first experience of live theatre for many children and is a vital source of income without which the Roses would struggle to finance its many good works throughout the following year.
